Students use their knowledge of weather and climate to analyse climate zones of the world. They identify the three main climate zones of the world – Tropical, Temperate and Polar. They predict what the weather would be like in each zone. Students research places in the world with similar climates to places in Australia. They use climate graphs to compare the climate of two places in different countries. The geographical tools included in this lesson are mapping, graphs and statistics and visual representation.
