The students collect evidence to build a case for action that takes into account the High Court case of Eddie Mabo and The State of Queensland.
They work in groups to:
• analyse primary and secondary sources and develop persuasive texts for use in a debate
• examine different points of view on events in the past and present to determine their purpose
• Evaluate and connect information from various sources to defend a position
The key concepts addressed in this lesson are significance, sources, and continuity and change.
