Students are (re)introduced to the concept of Country, and then offered two ways of thinking and learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders peoples’ long connection with Australia; through Western science or through the Dreaming. Following the scientific pathway, students research what we learn from archaeology. Following the Dreaming pathway, students research what we learn from stories and artwork. In an extension activity, students consider how and when the two approaches can come together.
