Students choose a significant journey of an explorer, trader or navigator to study through guided inquiry. The research process has been divided into three lessons. It is also envisaged that students will undertake some of this research in extra study sessions or as homework. In this first lesson, students choose an explorer and their journey, begin thinking about the resources they might draw on, and decide on their research questions.
