Key Concepts, Skills and Understandings

In this lesson students learn about how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples feel connected with their land and country and the importance of this connection. Students practice using videos as sources and develop their metacognitive skills as they consider how people can learn different things from the same source. Drawing on local sources, students then learn about the Aboriginal heritage of their local area, identifying examples of continuity and change.
