In this lesson, students will understand and define the terms primary and secondary sources and analyse primary sources e.g. John Oxley’s notebook, to develop a narrative and interpret significance. They will develop key questions about an early Australian colony and research, analyse and categorise a range of information sources. Using effective communication, they will present their research task to the class and map their chosen colony on a map.
