The students develop an understanding of the management of places by the state and local governments in Australia. They investigate land zoning in general and specifically in their local area. The students study appropriate questions to guide an inquiry about a local issue which is of interest to them. They collect relevant information from primary and secondary sources, organise and represent data in a range of formats, consider different viewpoints and present their findings in a persuasive text format.
